Cafe’ Americano, What It Is!

Explaining the Café Americano

Cafe Americano is basically American drip coffee done in an Italian style. Cafe Americano is created with equal amounts of espresso and water that is boiling. This provides the drinker with a brew that is stronger than your average coffee.

Cafe Americano is often the ideal option for people who enjoy a strong jolt of caffeine but who do not really like the taste of espresso.

For a large number of people, especially those living in America, the strong, almost bitter taste of espresso is an acquired taste. This taste is one that many people just never seem to get the hang of.

Fortunately, you do not have to visit a specialty coffee shop to get a cup of Cafe Americano, you can create this beverage easily at home.

Coffee, That Moment of Quiet Time

Coffee I think has to be one of the most universal bonding moments we have to share quiet and peaceful times. I had the stressful moment of loosing my internet for the weekend and suddenly I had free time and my ultimate high light was sitting out on my deck with a cup of coffee with friends sharing the beautiful wildlife I have in my yard. So soothing, to sip on a cup of coffee and just ponder the beauty in the world. I have found a delightful video to share too, though I only have deer in my yard, I think this is too awesome and proves once again, a sprinkler is all it takes for the young to have fun!

How to Make a Frappuccino and Latte

How to Make a Frappuccino and Latte

Imagine making mouth-watering Frappuccino and latte at home that blows Starbucks away, saving you money and cutting down on the calories. We’re going to give you some awesome recipes that show you how!

What is a Frappuccino?

It’s actually a term trademarked by Starbucks, and it’s simply a blend of ice, coffee, water, milk and usually some kind of syrup. All these ingredients are blended up into an icy slush that is similar to a thin milkshake. One of the most popular types is a mocha Frappuccino, which uses chocolate syrup.

What is Latte?

“Latte” is actually an English play on the Italian word for “milk” and it’s a shortened version of the European “cafe e latte,” which means “coffee and milk” in Italian. It’s similar to a cappuccino but it’s simply made with more milk–a latte is 1/3 espresso and 2/3 steamed milk and it’s topped with about 1/4 of an inch of foam from frothed milk. The latte has twice as much steamed milk as a cappuccino but less foam.

You can also make tea latte, too. One of the most popular is a chai tea latte.

Coffee is grown in a large number of places throughout the whole world. It does not really matter where the coffee starts out being grown. This is because all coffee beans go through a typical process universally.

To start with, the beans are picked, and then dried, and finally sorted in basically the same way all over the world. Where you will find some differences, is in the climate and with the elevation the beans are exposed to depending on what part of the world the beans are grown in. Not to mention which if any pesticides are used by the coffee farmer on their coffee crop.

Another important factor that comes into play is the roasting process used on the beans. In fact, the roasting process is by far one of the most important elements in creating coffee. If the coffee beans are under roasted, the coffee may be too weak and if they are over roasted, they can leave coffee with a very unpleasant burnt taste. Read More!!!

Mocha Coffee, FU FU?

The Mocha – Why Some Consider It an American “Fu-Fu” Coffee

Although the Mocha is coffee based beverage, many serious coffee drinkers consider this beverage to be an awfully ‘fu-fu’ concoction.

Mocha is in fact a type of coffee bean that is from the Yemeni port and became well known in Europe as offering a very smooth taste to coffee. However, this still does not take away the fact that many think that Mocha is not like a ‘real’ cup of coffee.

The reason for that is that when you buy a Mocha beverage in a coffee shop or cafe, you are not getting a typical cup of java that has been made by using Mocha beans. What you are in fact served is a beverage that combines coffee and cocoa.
