The Beneficial Aspects of Coffee, You Can Be Healthier!

All too often you hear why you should not drink coffee. There is great news for coffee lovers all over the world. Current research has shown that coffee can actually be good for your health in a number of ways.

It is being shown that coffee can actually lower your risk of diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, and colon cancer. Not to mention the fact that a cup of java is thought to be a good way to improve your mood and offer relief from headaches. Surprisingly enough, coffee is now being said to decrease your chances of developing cavities as well.

For more than 18 years, researches at Harvard studied data collected on one hundred and twenty six thousand people and have come to the conclusion that consuming one to three cups of coffee each day can increase your chances of not developing diabetes.

The same research also showed that consuming more than six cups of coffee a day took men’s risk of developing diabetes down to 54% and women’s down to 30% compared to people who stay away from coffee.

It seems that many researchers now believe that not a lot of harm can come from drinking coffee and at the same time you can be provided with a lot of good results.

Some researches however say that there is still much more to study about the subject and that coffee should be consumed in moderation. Even if coffee is good for you, it should not take the place in your diet of foods that offer you the proper nutrition that you need for a healthy way of life.

There has been research conducted that indicates that it may even be possible for coffee to thwart some of the damaged that can be caused by other activities that are known for being harmful to your health.

If people smoke and drink alcohol a lot, they are less apt to develop both heart diseases and liver damage when they drink a lot of coffee than others who do the same but do not drink coffee.

There has even been some proof of coffee helping to control asthma attacks when a person with asthma does not have access to medication.

The reason that coffee is able to do all of these different things is due to the abundance of antioxidant properties found in the coffee beans. Some of these properties become especially strong while coffee beans are being roasted.

Coffee has incredibly high caffeine content. If you take an eight-ounce cup of coffee that has been brewed through a drip machine, it will have around 85 mg of caffeine. This is almost four times as much caffeine you would find in the same amount of tea or soda.

There is a lot of evidence that point towards regular intake of coffee reducing a person’s chances of developing Parkinson’s disease according to studies. It is believed to be this way due to the high amount of caffeine in the coffee.

The evidence is so strong in fact; that there are even drugs being made for Parkinson’s disease that have a derivative of caffeine in them.

Although not widely known by many people, when you take a pain reliever for a migraine, the pills often have up to 120 mg of caffeine in them. So, the next time you have a headache you could opt to try seeing if drinking a cup of coffee makes you feel better.

There is still a large amount of research being done on coffee and its benefits for the body and health of people. Like with anything though you always need to be careful. Coffee may have wonderful properties to it, but too much coffee consumption is still apt to provide you with jitters.

If you love a good cup of coffee though, you can at least relax and enjoy your cup of brew and know that in some way it is probably helping your health.
